Xiamen is one of the important bases of China's sanitary ware industry. In 2014, the output value of Xiamen sanitary ware industry exceeded 24 billion yuan. In order to promote the rapid development of sanitary ware industry, Xiamen municipal government recently issued the notice of Xiamen Municipal People's Government on six measures to promote the development of sanitary ware industry (hereinafter referred to as "six measures").

The "Six Measures" mainly involve "vigorously cultivating independent brands", "supporting enterprises to develop markets", "supporting enterprise technological innovation", "increasing financial support", "supporting participation in the system (revision) of national and industry standards", "Supporting the development of small, medium and micro enterprises" and other aspects. Among them, the three measures that attract the most attention are "cultivating independent brands", "supporting enterprises to open up markets" and "supporting enterprise technological innovation.

In terms of "cultivating independent brands", in addition to rewarding enterprises that have won China's well-known trademark recognition and national, provincial and municipal quality awards, the Xiamen government plans to increase the popularity of independent brands by adding intelligent bathroom product experience facilities in Xiamen tourist attractions. At present, there are 12 enterprises in Xiamen with strong research and development strength of intelligent sanitary ware products, with an output value of 1 billion yuan, of which 7 enterprises produce intelligent toilet covers. There are many shortcomings in the promotion of smart products in China, and this measure in Xiamen is very targeted.

In terms of "supporting enterprises to develop markets", the Xiamen government will provide special funds to support Xiamen enterprises to participate in large-scale domestic exhibitions, and support bathroom enterprises to participate in the development of markets along the "Belt and Road. In 2014, the export volume of Xiamen sanitary ware industry has reached 2 billion billion US dollars, especially the plumbing accessories industry enjoys a high reputation in the international market. In addition, the government also provides financial support to e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce enterprises.

In terms of "supporting enterprise technological innovation", the government focuses on supporting the development of "Internet Ten Intelligent Sanitary Ware". For sanitary ware manufacturers who purchase industrial robot bodies, industrial robot intelligent complete sets of equipment and technology above 5 million yuan, the purchased equipment and technology will be given a subsidy of no more than 10%, and the maximum subsidy for a single independent legal person enterprise shall not exceed 2 million yuan. On September 11, at the executive meeting of the Xiamen government, it was also proposed that by 2020, more than 2000 "machine replacement" units will be implemented, the numerical control rate of production equipment in key areas will reach 70%, and 10 intelligent manufacturing model factories will be built.

This year, the state has vigorously promoted the development of "Internet ten intelligent manufacturing". Many sanitary ware enterprises in Foshan have joined the ranks of intelligent manufacturing. Xiamen's "six measures" will help Xiamen sanitary ware enterprises to keep up with the development pace of Foshan sanitary ware production area, and will greatly promote the industrial upgrading of Xiamen sanitary ware.
