ISH 2023 returns strongly

The Frankfurt International Bathroom Equipment, Building, Energy, Air Conditioning Technology and Renewable Energy Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as: ISH) was successfully concluded on March 17. This exhibition focuses on practical solutions to achieve the climate protection goals of the construction industry, and in-depth discussions. The main ways for the future sustainable development of the heating and air conditioning technology industries are closely related to the current hot topics such as decarbonization, use of renewable energy and improvement of energy efficiency. The success of the ISH 2023 once again confirms its position as the world's leading trade fair in the industry.
As an international business platform, ISH brought together global professionals from the bathroom, HVAC and air-conditioning technology industries during the exhibition from March 13 to 17 to conduct business exchanges, experience innovative technologies and expand business cooperation. The exhibition attracted 153,734 professional visitors from 154 countries to learn more about the current and future of heating transformation and sustainable water supply in the construction industry. Four years after the outbreak interrupted the physical offline exhibition, participants who once again stepped into the pavilion said they were very satisfied with the overall effect of the exhibition. Mr. Ma Fukang, President and CEO of Frankfurt Exhibition Group, said: "The success of this exhibition not only meets the eager needs of industry audiences, but more importantly, the topics ISH focuses on are also very specific to the current global challenges. Some challenges, such as focusing on climate protection and security issues in the supply chain. In order to better respond to the policies of governments in the fields of environment, climate and sustainability, ISH has demonstrated many practical solutions on site. With the landing of these solutions, the installation industry, as the largest audience group of ISH, will also benefit from it."
This ISH has attracted many well-known political representatives to participate actively, which fully reflects the close relationship between the exhibition and social politics. At the opening ceremony, the German Minister of Housing, Urban Development and Construction, Mr. Klara Geywitz, called for a reasonable transition period, appropriate social buffers and openness to technology when implementing the heating transition. The Governor of Hesse, Mr. Boris Rhein, and the Minister of Economy of Hesse, Mr. Tarek Al-Wazir, also took the opportunity to discuss with the exhibitors various solutions for adapting to the current market. In addition, Ms. Stephanie Wüst, Frankfurt City Councillor and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Messe Frankfurt, also visited ISH.
Focus on hot topics in the industry
This year ISH attracted 2,025 exhibitors from 54 countries and regions to the Frankfurt Exhibition Center to showcase the latest developments in the heating market, air conditioning and indoor ventilation technology, smart home and building automation, as well as sustainable modern bathroom design and innovative installation technology. The show focuses on heat pumps (an important part of the energy transition), wood (energy) and alternative storage solutions. Other hot topics include the shortage of skilled workers in the health, heating and air conditioning industries, and the need for aging and barrier-free toilets due to demographic changes. In the wake of the new crown epidemic, the importance of innovative ventilation system technology and contactless equipment has increased, while the industry has also generated many new thinking about bathroom energy efficiency. In ISH's rich contemporaneous forum, experts and scholars delivered insights on the most talked-about trends in the industry.
The exhibition welcomed a total of about 154,000 participants, 44% of whom came from overseas countries. In addition to Germany, the other source countries of overseas visitors are the Netherlands, Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, China, the United Kingdom, Poland, Austria and Turkey. Many visitors said that the trip was worthwhile and gave a high degree of recognition to the exhibition. According to the survey data of Frankfurt exhibition group, 94% of the participants said that the harvest was quite good and the expected goal was achieved. 96% of the participants were very satisfied with the coverage of the exhibition, and 52% of the audience expected the economic situation of the industry to improve in the future.

ISH 2023 launched a new online communication platform "Digital Extension", which will continue to be open until April 30, 2023. In addition to conventional functions, the platform also supports on-demand viewing of video materials from the same forum. During the exhibition, ISH's "Digital Extension" platform collected 106,932 visits.
The next ISH Frankfurt International Bathroom Fitments, Buildings, Energy, Air Conditioning Technology and Renewable Energy Exhibition will be held from March 17 to 21, 2025.
